  Help! I need to weigh my options

  so... i should have commented on the thread on dating a fader.. i am a fader, and my girlfriend is just... she doesn't care much for jw's... she wants to be with me, and while we are together we ignore all jw rules.

  last night, for example, we celebrated halloween.. there's a problem, though, and i need your help.. again, i will explain the cities:.

  Option2. You beat the JW's at their own game

  • Meet with her father. Be apologetic and agree with everything he says. Don't argue. Whatever his concerns are agree with them and let him know that you are on it.
  • Start turning in time. Just count your time you spend on this site. If you are confronted about your "lack of visibility" just say that you are witnessing to friends.
  • Don't go out in field service. It's a waste of time.
  • Marry the girl.
  • Then do whatever you want.

  i really don't like people disparaging active jws on this site by calling them stupid, idiots, morons and that, and making out like they're willing puppets to the gb or cruel at heart.

  or describing them like they're puke or as having no desire to learn or listen.. to you, all these things may be true.

  we all have opinions and are entitled to them.

  i feel like i've always been a bit of a selfish person.

  i try to be loving and humble, but i really have to work at it and am usually not successful.. anyways, tonight i watched my younger sister.

  she is the most loving person i have ever met it my life.

  He's seeking you out maybe because you can relate to him in this particular aspect. That's life.

  I feel no guilt. I feel like my eyes have been opened. Would I feel guilty if I found out that the world is round when everyone else thinks it's flat?

  Here's how you reveal the reason:

  You heard from a not-so-reliable source that he did such and such. Of course, you find this hard to believe and don't think it's true. ;)

  Don't say the name. Let someone else do it. That way if anyone tries to tie the name and reason together you can always claim the rumor that you had heard was in regards to someone else.

  • The actual letter that Bruce Baker sent to the city of Tacoma exposing the scandal
  • The letter from the Watchtower with the "suggested" donation amounts (it uses the term "do not deviate from these suggested contribution amounts")
  • The Tacoma Dome rental rates

  This was one of the first things that really started to wake me up. I couldn't figure out how the organization, that I thought of in high regard, could do something like this. Now it all makes sense.

  Meditation, your thoughts?

  hi everyone,the last couple of weeks i have been reading about meditation and have tried several times.one of the times i did a native american guided meditation and actually had a unusual experience, seeing a wolf and a man dressed in victorian clothing,of course i had my eyes closed but this was different then a dream,it wasn't scary or anything,i hope nobody thinks i'm nuts,,i was just wondering if anyone else has experience with this,,being a witness most of my life i have been checking out other forms of spirituality,and meditation has been around for thousands of years and seems beneficial to those that do it....thank you for your thoughts.

  I have a question about this: Are you supposed to be aware that you are in the moment? For instance, I usually check to make sure I hear silence and am aware of my breathing in two areas (chest and nostrils for example). Or I can actually focus on my breathing.

  So I guess my question is do I want to be aware of my breathing or focus on my breathing?

  I just looked at the story. I didn't realize that it was CHILD PORN that we were talking about.

  The guy bought the guns ahead of time, he waited for her to go to work, and then hid the evidence and hoped nobody would find out. It was premeditated. This isn't a case of a temporary emotional state.

  There's a lot of people that watch pornography that don't kill anybody. He probably played violent video games too?

  The fact is that he did a terrible thing and deserves to die.

  This also makes me wonder: How exactly would someone define what a "pornography problem" is? At what point is it a problem?
